Weekend Recap | July 15-16

After a tough week of training, Andrew Joy backed up his 2nd place in age group at the Tri-Aggieland triathlon last weekend with another 2nd place age group finish, and 6th place overall at the Shadow Creek Ranch Sprint Triathlon on Sunday. The Shadow Creek Ranch triathlon was AJ's first triathlon three years ago in 2014. His time at yesterday's race was a full 34 minutes faster than that first race in 2014. AJ is currently preparing to represent Team USA at the ITU Age Group Sprint World Championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands on September 17th. Before that, he'll race the USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships on August 12th and 13th, in Omaha, Nebraska.
