So Marvelous

Boerne City Lake was a balmy 65° as athletes plunged in for an open water swim. Paragon Training held a swim prep session at the park last Friday night, as many athletes gear up for Ironman 70.3 Galveston on April 8. Most swimmers got in over a mile. We shared an enjoyable evening as the sun set, and Raul Correa impressed us all with his gourmet grilling skills. We hope you'll join us for the next open water swim! Wetsuits strongly recommended.

On Saturday morning, Raul Correa and Diana Ruderman competed in the San Marvelous Road Race. Diana got a mechanical before the race started, forcing her to spin in two gears for the duration of the course. Raul made a break but got caught in the final sprint, still finishing in the top 10. This was the first race in the series; the second will be held April 28.

Also this weekend, the UTSA Triathlon Club raced the Mean Green sprint tri in Denton, TX. They earned fourth place collegiate team and are getting ready for the collegiate South Midwest Regional Championship at Pace Bend park next month. Go 'Runners!

Make sure to send your pictures from training and racing to: racing@paragontraining.org so we can showcase all the rad stuff you guys do.
