First Timers Revenge

There was a lot of spandex running around last weekend as the 2018 Team Paragon came out in full force to race the Ironman 70.3 Texas event on Sunday. Fifteen Paragon athletes crossed the finish line on a cold and windy day in Galveston, Tx. The collective team effort was enough to win FIRST place for Division V in the Ironman TriClub challenge!

In addition to the team victory, the highlight of the weekend was seeing 6 athletes complete their first Ironman 70.3 event!

Back in San Antonio, Kathleen O'Shea raced the 200 Meter Dash at the Texas State Senior Games. Running her fastest time since 2016, O'Shea placed 2nd in the event and earned her spot to compete at the National Championships in 2019.

On the other side of the country, Raul Correa and Diana Ruderman competed at the USA Triathlon Duathlon National Championships in Greenville, South Carolina. The run-bike-run format perfectly suited their strengths and both qualified to represent Team USA at the World Championships in Spain next year!

Great job to all our athletes! Race hard and recover harder.
