Meet Mark Saroni. (Most of you probably have met him.) He's a phenomenal athlete, business owner, and Paragon's Head Coach. Mark has been coaching people and running camps for 7+ years, and he officially started Paragon Training in 2014. But this month, we are here to highlight him as another one of Paragon's inspiring athletes.
Age: 29
Occupation: Coach, business owner, and expert demonstrater of circle arms.
How long have you been doing triathlons? 16 1/2 years. More than half my life!
Why do you like triathlons? I can't explain my passion for the sport but it's who I am. I love the daily process, the experiences, the travel, and the relationships I've formed along the way.
What is one thing you are most looking forward to in 2019? Looking back, I think I took 2018 a little too seriously and so I'm looking forward to having fun in 2019. I want to race an Xterra, ride more gravel and mountain bike, and yes, qualify for Kona.
Favorite post-workout or post-race meal: An entire box of Little Caesar's pizza after every 100 mile ride is my go-to.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I don't ever want to grow up.
Tell us something no one knows about you: I can ride a unicycle and juggle but I can't do both at the same time.
Make sure to send your pictures from training and racing to: racing@paragontraining.org so we can showcase all the rad stuff you guys do.
