Ever think of doing a half Ironman? Me neither. Then I did one last year due to Ildar's constant pushing and begging. I'll admit it was a great experience, especially when lots of my teammates were out suffering with me. I imagine Ildar also had a lot to do with getting 14, yes 14, of our Paragon athletes to suffer together for 70.3 miles of racing down in Mexico! Many of the athletes excelled and pulled off amazing times. Congrats to everyone that raced last weekend! Keep on pushin'.
Ironman 70.3 Monterrey
Our team of 14 athletes journeyed to Mexico to show how great our team is becoming. Some of the highlights of the race in Mexico include: first 70.3 for four of our athletes and all athletes finished, five athletes were in the top 20 of their age groups, one athlete finished 2nd in their age group while another won theirs, and our top athlete placed 13th overall! Our triathlon team also won 5th place out of ALL divisions!
From all the pictures I've seen floating around social media, it seemed like everyone had a blast. If you're thinking of trying a new distance or wanting to race with friends, come join us. Here's a link to our team events where we have a large turn out of Paragon athletes competing together. https://www.paragontraining.org/team-paragon
