A Run, A Bike. No Swim?

It was a relatively quiet weekend for Paragon Training athletes, but the couple of athletes that did race, put in very good efforts.

2019 Texas ITT State Championships

Carlos Torres cycled in the rural town of Hempstead, Texas for a 40k TT. He averaged 39.5km/h (24.5mph), and he placed 6th in his category! He completed the event in 1:00:40, just 4 minutes and 35 seconds behind the leader. I know he gave it his all and probably ran home for a cool down, too.

La Paleta Run 5k

Jenna Velasco went for a stroll through the trails at McAllister Park for a first place age group win and a 7th overall female finish. Her time of 27:57.9 was a refreshingly short race as she typically runs for hours at a time. She is in the process of training for the USATF 100 Mile Trail Championship race.
