How long have you been swimming, cycling, running, and/or doing triathlons?
Been in the game for 4 years, started my triathlon journey just 4 months before Covid decided to join the party.
What aspects of training and/or racing do you enjoy most?
I'm all about that outdoor life, biking like a maniac, running through the city, and soaking in the good vibes from the triathlon crew. Oh, and nothing beats sweating it out with my brother, love sharing miles with him. We're basically the dynamic duo of the triathlon world, at least we like to think that! Plus racing is the great excuse to plan a family trip!
What has been your favorite training or racing event, and why?
IRONMAN Alaska takes the cake! From the early morning training sessions to epic Saturday rides with the squad. Crossing that finish line was like winning an Oscar, so ready to sign up for the sequel next year!
What is your favorite post-workout or race meal?
After a beast-mode workout, I dive into a tub of cold chocolate milk.
What is one recent accomplishment you are proud of?
Conquered the ultimate combo – finished my first IRONMAN and snagged that college degree. Both went down last year. Nailed it!
What do you want to be when you grow up?
In the short term, I’m eyeing a career as a professional sleep tester – someone's gotta make sure those mattresses are up to snuff! But the mid-term goal? Certified triathlon coach and a Kona Finisher, baby!
What is something no one knows about you?
I've got a fraternal twin who's the spitting image of my brother Sebastian! Also, I've collected stamps living in the US, Mexico, Germany, and Portugal. Oh, and I'm fluent in those 4 languages!
Why do you race/train?
It's a personal challenge, you know? Pushing my own boundaries, surprising myself with what I can pull off. Plus, because a lot of my non-triathlon pals are lacing up their sneakers because of my ways, count me in for the long run.
