San Antonio, TX – Paragon Training announces that Coach Amy Higginbotham has achieved her USA Triathlon (USAT) Level II Coach certification, solidifying her position as a high-performance triathlon coach. This accomplishment comes after an intensive four-days of education and exams at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Less than 15% of all USAT-certified coaches nationwide have the designation of Level II coach. Higginbotham was 1 of just 13 coaches selected to attend this year’s program, demonstrating her dedication to professional growth and her commitment to providing world-class coaching to athletes of all levels.
“This was an immensely gratifying learning experience and at the end of the day it's about being and becoming a better coach for our athletes.” Said coach Amy. Amy and the group of coaches participated in classroom sessions, data analysis, case studies, and developing training programs on the macro, meso, and micro scale.
The USAT Level II certification program emphasizes advanced coaching skills in areas such as performance testing, nutrition, periodization, and psychological preparation. Higginbotham’s achievement reflects her expertise and aligns with Paragon Training’s mission to offer athletes cutting-edge coaching and support.
“Amy’s accomplishment represents her commitment to excellence, not only for her own professional development but also for the benefit of the athletes she mentors,” said CEO and head coach Mark Saroni. “I couldn't be more proud of her achievement.”
Higginbotham has been an integral part of Paragon Training, working with athletes across various disciplines to help them achieve their personal bests. Her new certification ensures that Paragon Training remains a leader in triathlon coaching, with access to the latest methodologies and resources from USA Triathlon.
