Paragon Training Welcomes Elite Cyclist, Coach Ron Tuazon

San Antonio, TX – Paragon Training announces the addition of Ron Tuazon, a Cat 1 cyclist, coach, and co-director of Guido-Space City Devo, to its coaching staff. Tuazon brings a wealth of competitive experience and a deep passion for developing athletes to their fullest potential, making him a perfect fit for Paragon’s pursuit of excellence in endurance sports training.

Tuazon’s cycling career is marked by impressive accomplishments on both national and international stages. A former professional cyclist, he captured the 2019 Mid-Atlantic Region Elite Road Race Championship at just 17 years old, becoming the youngest winner in the event’s history. He has also earned top finishes at prestigious competitions, including a 17th-place finish at the Blue Dome Crit at Tulsa Tough—one of the world’s most elite criterium races—where he competed against top-level cyclists, including former Team Sky rider Sergio Henao.

Tuazon delivered multiple top-20 finishes in the American Criterium Cup, solidifying his reputation as a premier competitor. His international experience includes key roles as a domestique in professional stage races such as the 2022 Tour of Panama, where he contributed to a 4th-place overall finish and a 1st-place Young Rider classification, and the 2023 Joe Martin Stage Race (JMSR), where he played an instrumental role in securing a top-10 finish for teammate Gavin Hlady, now a member of Aevolo Cycling.

As the co-director of Guido-Space City Devo, Tuazon has been at the forefront of nurturing the next generation of elite cyclists. His extensive experience, which began when he entered the sport at age 15, allows him to understand the unique challenges athletes face as they transition through different competitive levels. His work with up-and-coming cyclists, including helping guide riders to the U.S.’s leading U23 development team, Aevolo Cycling, highlights his dedication to building talent for the future.

In joining Paragon Training, Tuazon will continue his mission of supporting athletes on their path to success. His hands-on approach, tactical expertise, and passion for the sport are invaluable assets to the Paragon Training community.

“I’m excited to join Paragon Training and contribute to their outstanding programs,” said Tuazon. “Helping athletes reach their highest potential is something I am deeply passionate about, and I look forward to working with the incredible talent within the Paragon Training Team.”
