SAN ANTONIO (April 11, 2025) — Paragon Training has added Asher Lauderdale to its coaching staff. Lauderdale brings a background in youth and junior triathlon, along with experience as both an athlete and coach within the USA Triathlon (USAT) development pipeline.

From 2014 to 2021, Lauderdale competed in the USAT Youth and Junior Elite Draft Legal series. He continued in the sport at the collegiate level with the Wingate University Men’s Triathlon team, graduating in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
Lauderdale earned his Level I USAT coaching certification in 2023, with a specialization in Youth and Junior Elite (YE/JE) development. He has coached for several programs focused on age-group athletes, including Playtri, Turnagain Training in Anchorage, Alaska, and Alpha Multisport Juniors. His approach to coaching emphasizes skill development, consistency, and long-term athlete growth.
“Asher has worked across different regions and training environments,” said CEO and head coach Mark Saroni. “He brings a perspective shaped by both his experience as an athlete and his time coaching in structured youth programs.”
Outside of coaching, Lauderdale also works as a photographer, focusing on college athletics. His media work complements his coaching by helping capture and communicate the process behind athletic performance.
Coach Lauderdale will be spearheading a junior triathlon program for kids in San Antonio this summer, looking to learn and improve the skills required to complete a triathlon. Sessions will include weekly practice and opportunities to race. Stay tuned for more updates regarding this program.
